On the occasion of his second anniversary, Philippe Caudal, our Neuilly Sur Seine franchisee, looks back on his experience.

If December is synonymous with joy, family and festivities, for Philippe Caudal this month has a special flavor. Two years ago, on December 12, 2019, Philippe's project came to fruition: it was the opening day of his NACHOS restaurant in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

On the occasion of his second anniversary, Philippe Caudal, our franchisee in Neuilly-Sur-Seine, looks back on his experience.

When we met Philippe, he was already well acquainted with the world of entrepreneurship, having run his own company. As his company operated in a completely different field from that of catering, it was not easy to reconcile his two activities: " The first year I mainly devoted myself to NACHOS. I had very long days, because I had to run my other company at the same time. From the second year onwards, I was able to delegate some of my work to the restaurant. However, I'm still there to lend a hand to my team during busy hours, and especially for the lunchtime rush. And, of course, I'm in charge of the overall management of the restaurant

Because he wanted to diversify into the restaurant business, but it would have taken too much time to develop his own concept, Philippe opted for a franchise. " I chose to go into business with NACHOS because I liked the comfort of franchising: I wanted to be part of a group, to be assisted and supported in everything concerning communication and recipe changes, for example ".

After a successful opening and a large number of customers, our franchisee had to face up to the Coronavirus crisis, which resulted in the closure of several restaurants. Even though it wasn't easy, Philippe sees things in a positive light: " I'm one of those entrepreneurs who's only known Covid. It was complicated, but we got through it. I've managed to capture a clientele that we didn't reach before. Lifestyles changed, and customers came from further afield or had things delivered. This has lasted, because today, customers don't hesitate to walk further to come and eat with us ".

To support our franchisees, whether at the time of opening, to deal with complicated situations or to answer day-to-day questions, our head office teams do their utmost to be always present. Philippe testifies: " There's Christophe, the Network Coordinator. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I find him extraordinary. I think all the franchisees agree, but he's really been the right recruit for us. There's also Lucie, Head of Communications and Marketing, and her team, who are very present and never let us down. Despite the size of the franchise network, I think we're very, very well surrounded. Everyone is able to give us personalized answers when we need them .

As for the development of his business, and because our Neuilly sur Seine franchisee is always keen to challenge himself, Philippe is doing his utmost to see his sales continue to grow, and is planning to open a second restaurant.

" Would I do it again two years later? Yes! One year later, not sure 😁 ". Because it hasn't always been easy (because of Covid) to get to the success he's known for today, but because he's convinced by the NACHOS franchise model, Philippe is looking for a second location in order to become a multi-franchisee!
